Reconstruction of the front entrance begins over break

Over the course of Spring Break, reconstruction of the school’s front entrance has begun. According to District Office representative Denae Rus, the new design will include a pinch-point entrance, which channels visitors through the front office. This entrance restricts direct access to the rest of the school, making it harder for security to be breached.

The new entrance will be completed in time for the 2014-15 school year. More construction projects will extend into the summer, including mechanical replacements and technology infrastructure upgrades. Rus said Blue Valley patrons made these projects possible with the 2012 bond referendum.
