Last year, DECA incentivized donations with the chance to pie teachers and administrators in the face. This year there will a dunk tank instead.

After last year’s goldout week in support of St. Jude’s cancer research leading up to the Blue Valley Northwest-Blue Valley North football game, the DECA marketing club is making a change this year. For the entirety of the week of Aug. 28 through Sept. 1, DECA will be raising money in support of Children’s Mercy Hospital leading up to Friday’s blackout game between the Huskies and Mustangs.

ALL WEEK:

DECA will be selling $15 t-shirts and raffle tickets during Husky Halftime as well as before and after school in the Dawghouse. Raffle tickets are priced at one for $3 or two for $5. Prizes include a $25 gift card to Ted’s Cafe Escondido, two $25 gift cards to Slim Chickens, Sporting KC Apparel and a pair of Beats Solo Headphones.

FRIDAY tailgate:

5:00: The tailgate prior to the football game begins at 5:00 p.m., along with the beginning of the dunk tank schedule. During the tailgate, 2015 graduate and Sporting KC forward Daniel Salloi will be signing autographs. There are 100 tickets available for $2 each.

From 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, DECA will be hosting a fundraising tailgate including Hawaiian Ice, a dunk tank, the BVNW Drumline, and a mascot meet and greet at 5:30 pm. The blackout game against BVN is scheduled to start at 7:00 pm.
